Psyllium is a natural product derived from a plant of the genus plant ago. It is chemically inactive, not absorbed by the gastrointestinal system and has the ability to absorb water forming a gelatinous mass which increases the volume of the intestinal contents and stimulates peristalsis of the intestine in a natural way.
Polyethylene glycol, which is not absorbed by the body and not metabolized by the intestinal flora, absorbs water by osmosis, enhancing the action of the psyllid.
At the same time, the intestinal contents are softened and more easily discarded.
